Our Saylor Township Fire Department City Serve Team have had a busy week serving our first responders. Last Tuesday night they provided pizza and brownies and shared some Spring plants. Friday night the Team joined the Department in their “Push In” Ceremony for their new Fire Engine 491. The evening started off with an introduction by Chief Hunter and the filling and passing of the water bucket by current, retired, and previous firefighters of Saylor Township to initiate the filling of the water tank, and then the “Push In” to settle Engine 491 in its new home. Bright and early Saturday morning, the Team helped serve at the Fire Department’s Annual Pancake Breakfast. They helped serve about 972 people in four hours. The Department raised a little over $12k in donations. City Serve could be found cooking, cleaning trays and washing dishes. We’re grateful to be able to serve those who serve!
