Our City Serve Iowa State Patrol Team had the opportunity to serve at a retirement lunch at the Post 1 location in honor Trooper Todd Aarhus. Trooper Aarhus had 30+ year career in the military with the Iowa National Guard, including multiple tours overseas, overlapping some with his law enforcement career that spanned over 20 years. Trooper Aarhus will now enjoy well-earned time off and further his travels as a civilian. The retirement celebration was well attended – around 70 people enjoyed a spread of walking tacos, fruit and cookies, all washed down with lemonade and iced tea graciously donated by our Milo’s rep. It was evident that Post 1 will miss Trooper Aarhus, a very kind and fair man with the ability to light up a room with his laughter. Thank you Todd for letting City Serve be a part of your special day! Our state (and our country) certainly appreciate your service.
